Francesca Coin is assistant Professor in Sociology at Cà Foscari University of Venice, where she teaches Neoliberal Policies and Global Social Movements. She is a member of CITS - the Cooperative Institute in Transnational Studies and CADTM - the Committee for the Abolition of Illegitimate Debt. She has published extensively on the relationship between finance, labor and subjectivity, drawing particularly on the work of Marx, Nietzsche and Deleuze to undo the notion of subjectivity in the neoliberal world. Currently her research is focused on the impact of austerity in Europe and the relationship between the social body and the monetary command. The tension between debt, austerity and the commons is the topic of her forthcoming book: Non salvateci più - Save us no more (Minimum Fax 2016).
