The School of Sustainability of Environmental and Tourism Systems integrates knowledge and skills in the fields of science, economics, management and cultural studies at Ca’ Foscari University, to implement innovative teaching in the fields of Environmental Sciences, Economics and Tourism Systems. The teaching of the School is supported by the Departments of Environmental Sciences, Informatics and Statistics; Economics; Humanities; Linguistics and Comparative Cultural Studies; Management; Molecular Sciences and Nanosystems; and Philosophy and Cultural Heritage.
Main objectives of the School are:
The School coordinates two second cycle degree programmes (graduate or master level according to the Bologna process): the Intercultural Programme on Tourism Systems and the degree in Environmental Sciences.
Moreover, the School coordinates four first- and second-level professional master's programmes: Chemical Engineering of Wastewater Treatment and Renewable Energy, Economics and Management of Tourism, Food and Wine Culture for Enogastronomic Resources Promotion, and Management of Sustainability and Carbon Footprint.
Besides coordinating its graduate and master programmes, the Faculty of the School contributes to several PhD Programmes of Ca’ Foscari University, such as those in Science and Management of Climate Change, Environmental Sciences, Business and Economics. The School also develops integrated research and teaching activities in cooperation with prominent international institutions.
