Fees reduction based on income situation

University tuition and fees due for the academic year 2012/2013 may be reduced if the student’s income situation justifies it, as defined by the ISEE ('Indicatore della Situazione Economica Equivalente', Indicator of the Equivalent Financial Position) certificate.

The ISEE is an instrument used to measure the actual property and income position (financial standing) of citizens who apply for social services under favourable terms and is determined by combining and evaluating three elements: income, property and household composition.

There are eight levels of university tuition and fees based on the ISEE value:

EUR 154,62 must be added to the amounts listed above (EUR 140.00 for the regional tax for the right to study + EUR 14.62 for the tax stamp).

Note: The amount of the regional tax for financial aid has been increased by Regione Veneto to Euro 140,00 in compliance with D.Lgs. 68/2012, by written notice on July, 31st 2012. The difference with the previous amount (Euro 111,00) corresponding to Euro 29,00 will be charged along with the second instalment.

In order to qualify for the reduction in university tuition and fees based on income situation the following conditions must be met:

  • be enrolled for the academic year 2012/2013;
  • have requested and obtained the ISEE certificate by and no later than October 12th, 2011 (or by and no later than December 21st, 2012 paying the late payment penalty surcharge of EUR 50.00) at one of the CAFs which has a special agreement with Ca' Foscari. ISEE certificates not submitted by the deadlines mentioned above will not be taken into consideration for obtaining a reduction in university fees. In addition, these certificates are nonetheless subject to the payment of EUR 50,00 for the penalty surcharge;
  • those students enrolled in docotral cycles previous to the 25th one must have an ISEE value that is equal to or less than EUR 34,199.99; those enrolled in the 25th cycle or following ones must have an ISEE value that is equal to or less than EUR 39,999.99.
