Mission

Ca’ Foscari International College is an honour course school, supported by the Italian Ministry of Education and Research (MIUR), which aims at achieving excellence in the different areas of study and research. The College intends to attract the best and most gifted students both from Italy and abroad. It provides accommodation on the Island of San Servolo, an international residential campus located in the Venice Lagoon. English is the official language of the College.

Students attend degree programmes at Università Ca’ Foscari and take part in additional interdisciplinary programmes and innovative activities arranged by the College, making it one of the most vibrant cultural and scientific centres in the area.

The aim of the College is to create a stimulating environment in which talented young students can excel in their different areas of study and research. At the same time students build up a community with a strong multidisciplinary exchange of ideas.

Faculty of the College include Prof. Carlo Carraro – Rector of Ca’ Foscari, Prof. Agar BrugiaviniHead of the International College, and an Academic Council composed of professors from the various fields of study and research.

The International College selects every year a number of Italian and international students for enrolment to the first year at the Bachelor's level (in Italian: Laurea Triennale): admissions are based on several selection criteria. In addition to subsidized accommodation at the College, full and partial scholarships will be awarded based on merit.

Students of the International College enrol in an undergraduate degree programme at the Università Ca’ Foscari: programmes are offered in the fields of economics, humanities, languages, science and information technology. They also experience a variety of interdisciplinary activities, workshops and lectures and enjoy a unique extra-academic life in an international, intercultural environment that allow them realise their potential and learn with an open-minded approach.
