Educational Goal:
The course aims to teach students the fundamental principles of modern private law and the foundations of legal principles needed to understand the regime of private legal relations.


Contents:

Modern legal systems. Sources. Structure of legislation. Legal interpretation. Rights of legal persons. Holders of rights. Natural person and jurical person. Legal goods. Legal instruments and actions. Realty, private property and ownership. Obligations. Execution, non execution and contract responsability. Freedom of transfer of goods. Contract (creation, validity and invalidity, enforceability and unenforceability; execution, resolution). Consumer contract. Civil responsibility and tort. Other obligations sources. Protection of rights. Family law and law of succession.

For all courses, these texts should be read together with any edition of the Civil Code that is up to date (an edition later than June 2007).


Assessment:

Oral examination. A written examination too: multiple-choice test that permits admission to the oral examination.
