The course analyses the structural and institutional features of the worl economic development from the later middle ages through the contemporary age.
Contents:
  1. The long-period phases of preindustrial economy: population and incomes.
  2. Agricolture: farming systems and social relationships
  3. Manufacture and trade relationships
  4. Protoindustry and industrialisation in England and Europe
  5. Circulation of goods, capitals and labour in 19th and 20th centuries
  6. World War Two and post-bellum reconstruction
