Educational Goals
Anglo-American Literature: 1600-1800
The module will focus on a critical approach to the history of American Literature from Colonial Times, to the Civil War, to the growth of Realism and Naturalism.
Requirements
Basic elements of literary theory and satisfactory knowledge of the English language
Contents
The course aims at introducing the students to a comparative approach of the different aspects - literary, cultural, ethnic, geohistorical ? that contributed to the forging of American literature.
