Educational Goals

The course will train students in the practice of literary translation from Anglo-American into Italian.
The most recent theories on literary translation will be approached and studied.





Requirements

A good knowledge of both Anglo-American and Italian.

Contents

Students will study techniques for translating literary texts from Anglo-American into Italian. Questions of tone, register and style will be considered as well as grammar and syntax.

Recommended Reading List

A syllabus containing bibliographical material and the texts to translate will be provided by the teacher at the beginning of the course.
