Educational Goals
The course concerning the Mediterranean area will analyse the identities, the reality and the prospects of the Mediterranean Region. History becomes an instrument to study: 1) the Mediterranean area as laboratory for international and intercultural relations; 2) the development of the U.S. foreign politics with special attention to the Mediterranean countries; 3) the international relations of the Mediterranean area from the birth of the U. S. diplomacy to the relations with Russia and Soviet Union.
