Educational Goals
Translating literature from English into Italian.
The course is meant to investigate the cultural and textual issues involved in the translation process of an English literary text into Italian. We shall work on a variety of samples of Modernist literature by Virgina Woolf, J. Joyce and D.H. Lawrence.
Requirements
Having passed the Lingua inglese 2 exam.
Contents
After a short introduction to the main translation theories, most of the course will be devoted to the practice of translation with the correction and discussion of students' home and class work.
