  • African Dictionaries by Multilingualbooks.com is a collection of pages with links to online african languages dictionaries, including Amharic, Bantu, Hausa, Luganda, Mandinks, Shona, Wolof, etc.

  • AFLANG Directory over African languages (Chadic and Niger-Congo language families) provided by the University of California.

  • Alphadictionary.com lists more than 300 languages and dialects spoken all over the world, including African languages dictionaries and grammars.

  • CBOLD: Comparative Bantu On-line Dictionary Project is a collection of lexical databases covering over 260 Bantu languages; originally hosted by the Linguistics Department of UC Berkeley, the CBOLD website is now based at Le laboratoire Dynamique Du Langage (DDL) in Lyon.

  • Languages of Zambia. A rich bibliographical source on languages spoken in Zambia; website created and maintained by Lee Bickmore, University of Albany.

  • The Kamusi Project. The Internet Living Swahili Dictionary (Yale University), is a collaborative work by people all over the world. The aim is to establish new dictionaries of the Swahili language, both within Swahili and between Swahili and English.

  • Digital Dialects. Interactive activities for learning languages. The Swahili Activities Page has interactive games for learning the Swahili language. Created by Craig Gibson. Learning games also in Afrikaans, Arabic, Somali.

  • PanAfriL10n.African localisation wiki. List of scripts used in Africa.

Translators

  • Majstro. A multilingual translation dictionary. Translates Afrikaans, Swahili and Zulu to English and vice versa. Has a table of each country's national language with the ISO-country code and the numerals from 1-10 in Afrikaans and Swahili.
