Morphology and semantics
Morphology
- An Introduction to English Morphology: English words and their structure by Andrew Carstairs-McCarthy (limited preview on Google Books) explains the various ways in which words are related to one another, and shows how the history of the English language has affected word structure.
- English Phonology and Morphology by Ricardo Bermúdez-Otero & April McMahon. This is Bermúdez-Otero and McMahon's contribution to Blackwell's Handbook of English Linguistics. The chapter concentrates on the morphology-phonology interface, drawing from current British and American dialects, as well as highlighting some more historical morphological variations. The text is made available on Bermúdez-Otero's website, along with other, mostly phonology-related publications.
Semantics
