Fees reductions and exemptions

Students with a disability level equal to or higher than 66%

Students who have been recognized to have a disability level equal to or higher than 66% are totally exempt from any university enrolment and tuition fees. As far as the 2011/2012 enrolment is concerned, they shall only pay EUR 123.62 (regional tax for financial aid: EUR 109.00; and stamp duty amounting to EUR 14.62).

To benefit from the university fees exemption, such students shall submit the proper application form to the Disabled Students Service before enrolling for the 2011/2012 academic year. In this way they will get a special exemption certification that they will have to submit to the Welcome and Ernolment Office along with the other documents required for enrolment.

Furthermore, favourable academic achievements criteria for the awarding of scholarships are available to students with disability levels equal to or higher than 66% as set forth in article no. 15 of the relevant call, to be referred to for any further information.

Students with disability level between 50% and 65%

Students who have been recognized to have a disability level between 50% and 65% shall be granted a university fees reduction provided:

  • they submit any documents needed to calculate the ISEE index to one of the CAFs (Italian acronym for “Tax Assistance Centre”) having a special agreement with Ca' Foscari and their income situation is equal to or lower than the maximum fixed amount of EUR 39,999.99.
  • they fulfil the academic achievement requirements for university fees reduction (minimum number of university credits required for First Cycle Degree Programmes or for Second Cycle Degree Programmes).

Such students shall submit the proper application form to the Disabled Students Service.

In this case, the fees reduction corresponds to the one fixed for the income bracket which is immediately lower than the actual bracket they belong to.
