Collection and duplicate of the final diploma

Starting from the 2011 summer degree session, all Ca' Foscari graduates will receive their own degree diploma:

  • at the end of the thesis discussion for Second Cycle Degree Programmes in the framework of the Italian Ministerial Decrees no. 509/1999 or 270/2004 and Degree Programmes before the Italian Ministerial Decree no. 509/1999, i.e. so belonging to the so-called 'Vecchio Ordinamento';
  • on the Graduation Day for First Cycle Degree Programmes.

Diplomas of the previous degree sessions and of those absent from the Graduation Day ceremonies are available and can be collected according to the following procedures (not applying to professional qualification diploma: to collect it please refer to the information contained in the relevant website page [IT]).

First Cycle Degree Diplomas related to the extraordinary degree session of the academic year 2010/2011 may be collected from April 10th, 2012 at the Diploma Delivery Office (by reservation only).

 

 

Diplomas available

To date the following may be collected:

  • Special Master’s diplomas awarded by September 30th, 2011;
  • training diplomas from the Advanced Training School for Secondary School Teachers (SSIS/SOS) awarded by December 31st, 2010;
  • doctoral diplomas awarded by May 31st, 2011.

Training diplomas relating to special courses organised by the SSIS in agreement with the Veneto Region will be issued – if possible and in compliance with any applicable regulations – by the Region itself, after submission of an application to the Regional School Office (CSA).

 

Collection procedures

To collect your diploma you will have to:

  • make an appointment with the Diploma Delivery Office through the specific online application in the Reserved Area of the university website. If you have to collect more than one diploma, you will need to make as many appointments as are the diplomas to be collected. When making an appointment you will be asked to give the matriculation number of the educational programme related to the diploma;
  • personally go to the Diploma Delivery Office with:
    • diploma application form;
    • your valid identity document;
    • a EUR 14.62 tax stamp (only if you have to collect a Specialist Master's/Doctoral/Teacher Training Diploma achieved before 2011 or if you graduated before the 2009 summer session).

You can authorise another person to collect your diploma, provided that he/she shows the following documents:

  • diploma application form (which includes a specific field to be completed for authorisations);
  • his/her identity document;
  • a copy of your identity document;
  • a EUR 14.62 tax stamp (only if you have to collect a Specialist Master's/Doctoral/Teacher Training Diploma achieved before 2011 or if you graduated before the 2009 summer session).

 

Diploma duplicate

If you have lost your original diploma, you may request a duplicate to the Diploma Delivery Office, submitting a specific application with a tax stamp and enclosing:

  • two EUR 14.62 tax stamp, to be affixed to the application form and the diploma duplicate;
  • copy of the report of loss or declaration in lieu of affidavit pursuant to Italian Presidential Decree no. 445/2000;
  • payment receipt of EUR 55.00 made by bank transfer.

You may submit your application via email (diplomi@unive.it) or by fax (+39 041 234 8058). The diploma duplicate will be issued within one week from the date of your request and you will be sent a sms in confirmation of the duplicate issue.

For collecting the duplicate you are required to make an appointment stating day and time of collection, through the specific online application in the Reserved Area of the university website. Otherwise you may ask for the postal delivery of the diploma duplicate according to the procedures below.

 

Postal delivery of the degree diploma/diploma duplicate

You may request the diploma delivery, at your expense, through the usual and trusted courier of the university. In this case, you will have to:

  • submit an diploma application form (which includes a specific field to be completed for diploma delivery by courier) to the Diploma Delivery Office;
  • enclose a copy of your valid identity document;
  • enclose the payment receipt of EUR 20.00, made by bank transfer for delivery charges;
  • if you have to collect a Specialist Master's/Doctoral/Teacher Training Diploma or if you graduated before the 2009 summer session, a tax stamp should be added to the above amount, totalling EUR 35.00.

Together with your diploma, you may also apply for delivery of the Diploma Supplement paying the delivery charges only once.

You can submit your application for diploma delivery by courier (choose only one of the following options):

  • to the e-mail address: diplomi@unive.it;
  • to the fax number: +39 041 234 8058;
  • to the mail address: Università Ca' Foscari Venezia - Sportello Consegna Diplomi, Dorsoduro 3246, 30123 Venezia (Italy).

 

If you have lost your credentials to access the Reserved Area

If you have forgotten or lost your username and password to access the Reserved Area, you may use the Forgotten Password Renewal Service [IT].

Otherwise you may send a fax to +39 041 234 7970, indicating your email address (to which the password will be sent) and enclosing a copy of your identity document.
