Welcome [English]
Ca’ Foscari University is Venice. The first business school in Italy and the second in Europe, a university where more than thirty foreign languages are taught. Just like the city in which it stands, it is a crossroads of cultures, research fields, ideas, and creativity. A modern university abreast of the times, which through its 8 departments offers advanced research projects and innovative study programmes, and guarantees excellence in higher education. The 5 Interdepartmental Schools promote a cross-cultural, interdisciplinary approach. Thus the student who chooses Ca’ Foscari can acquire wider, and more articulated skills; the study of economics intertwines with foreign languages and cultural heritage studies, while science meets the art of restoration, to give just a couple of examples.
The university offers programmes and courses at all levels, both in Italian and in English: 15 first-level degrees, 30 second-level degrees, and 32 professional master's programmes, as well as doctoral programmes run by the Graduate School. In addition there is a newly created Summer School which offers credit-based courses and extracurricular activities for Italian and international students and professionals interested in lectures given by Italian and foreign teachers.
Ca’ Foscari University also offers a rich portfolio of international programmes: five bachelor's degrees, thirteen master's degrees, two professional master's programmes, and ten PhD programmes.
‘Studying at Ca’ Foscari doesn’t just mean attending lectures and going to the library. It means being part of a unique experience, in a context which embraces art and culture, an international dimension, and exchanges with other countries. Quite simply, this is Venice. Welcome to Ca’ Foscari. Welcome to Venice.’
Carlo Carraro, Rector of the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
