Summer@SIE is the School for International Education's summer programme: courses and workshops in Italian and English on a range of innovative, engaging topics which go beyond strictly academic studies, aimed at meeting the most diverse learning interests.
Courses are open to everyone and some programmes may offer ECTS to University students.
The 3rd International School on Emergy Accounting at Ca' Foscari University in Venice (May 21 - 25, 2018) brings together students and researchers coming from a variety of disciplines, including ecology, chemistry, biology, physics, environmental science and engineering, economics, social and political sciences, with the aim of exploring current developments of Emergy science and its application to human and environmental systems.

Globalization is producing a growing interdependence of states, economies, societies, cultures, and people.
The Summer school in Global Studies focuses on globally shared issues such as global economy and inequalities, development and environment, geopolitics and geo-economy with special attention to the Mediterranean, and a “Country profile workshop” .
The teaching staff includes lecturers from Ca’ Foscari University and the Maritime Military Studies Institute of the Italian Military Navy.

The SIE organises 2-week beginner and elementary Italian language programmes, and a 3-week intermediate programme, that include a culture module, along with the possibility of taking part in a range of activities that allow students to truly experience Venice.

If you are interested in learning Italian over a short period of time, this summer you can take an intensive language course from A1 to B2. A1 and A2 levels consist of 50 hours of language teaching and take place over 3 weeks: B1 and B2 levels consist of 70 hours of language teaching and take place over 4 weeks. All courses are taught by qualified native language experts. Upon conclusion of each module, students take a final test and will receive a certificate of participation.
