Ca’ Foscari’s degree catalogue has reinvented itself for the Academic Year 2017-18, introducing new changes to the study plans: not only lectures but also workshop experiences with businesses and on-topic courses to broaden education in different fields from that of the chosen curriculum, adding value to the already existing degree programme.

The changes include two new degree programmes taught in English: a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Management and a Master’s degree in Conservation Science and Technology for Cultural Heritage.

For the 2017-18 Academic Year Ca’ Foscari will offer 17 Bachelor’s Degrees and 28 Master’s Degrees. There will be 14 limited admission degrees and 31 Double Degrees (diplomas joint with prestigious international universities).

From 2017-2018 Ca’ Foscari will also apply the Student Act, according to law, with a series of interventions and fiscal help for students. As well as this, for the next academic year the fees will not increase.

Ca’ Foscari will open its doors to high school students on 7th and 8th April for Open Day, a day dedicated to presenting the University’s new degree catalogue through mini lectures, information desks, and guided tours of the buildings.

TWO NEW DEGREE PROGRAMMES

CONSERVATION SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FOR CULTURAL HERITAGE

The new Master’s Degree (open admission) Conservation Science And Technology For Cultural Heritage, taught entirely in English, will train scientists and restorators, professionals with scientific skills able to project and experiment with new technology for operations of renovation. The course provides both lectures and workshops.

DIGITAL MANAGEMENT

A unique experience in Italy that combines the studies of economics and business with those of digital technology and "soft skills": the Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Management, taught entirely in English and with limited admission, will offer a structure of innovative courses both in their content and in their teaching methods, taught with a mix of lectures, seminars and workshops with international companies and professionals.

SIX DEGREE PROGRAMMES TAUGHT IN ENGLISH

There are six degree programmes at Ca’ Foscari that are taught entirely in English: Digital Management; Conservation Science and Technology for Cultural Heritage; Crossing the Mediterranean: Towards Investment and Integration (MIM); Computer Science; Philosophy, International and Economic Studies; Science and Technology of Bio and Nano-Materials (created in collaboration with the University of Padova).
There are also numerous curricula, within other degree programmes, that are taught in English.

DOUBLE DEGREE WITH UCL, UNIVERSITY COLLEGE LONDON

For the 2017-18 Academic Year Ca’ Foscari offers 31 double degrees – diplomas joint with other important international universities. Amongst them, the new Double Degree with UCL – University College London, for the Bachelor’s degree programme in Literature.

This cooperation consists of a 4 year degree programme (two years spent at Ca’ Foscari and two at UCL) that will offer a BA in Italian Studies at UCL and a Bachelor's degree in Humanities at Ca’ Foscari. The ten admitted students to this programme will be recruited from all over the world, will be required to understand English and Italian, and to have a strong academic portfolio.

MINORS: INTERDISCIPLINARY THEMATIC COURSES

Another new aspect is the introduction of Minors - modules that compliment the main degree - that Bachelor's degree students have the possibility to take alongside their main curriculum, enriching their training with interdisciplinary courses. For example, there will be coding modules for students in the field of Economics; economics and finance for students in the Humanities field, and many other possibilities.
Ca’ Foscari students will thus be able to reinforce their own preparation and their own curriculum with stronger skills.

ACTIVE LEARNING CENTRE

Enrich your Master’s Degree with the Active Learning Centre modules, choosing the activity that interests you the most; you will obtain 6 ECTS and a special recommendation in your Diploma Supplement.
