Ca’ Foscari has improved its results in the QS World University Ranking by subject, a discipline-by-discipline ranking of universities all over the world. Thanks to the positive reputation constructed both in the academic world and in the world of work, Ca’ Foscari was ranked as one of the best 150 universities for ‘Modern Languages’ for the first time (in the 101-150 bracket), advancing nine positions from previous years; in this category the university has also reached fifth place amongst Italian universities.
Another development for the university is its entrance into the top 250 universities in the world for ‘Linguistics’ (in the 201-250 bracket), a level also reached in the ‘Economics & Econometrics’ field.
This year Ca’ Foscari has widened its presence in the prestigious QS rankings, entering the rankings of two disciplinary areas for the first time: ‘Arts & Humanities’ (202nd place, a noticeable improvement from 226th place in 2016) and ‘Social Sciences & Management’ (top 450).
Among Italian universities, Ca’ Foscari is in the top 10 for Modern Languages, Linguistics, History, Art & Design, Geography, Environmental Sciences, Accounting & Finance, Anthropology, Business & Management Studies, Economics & Econometrics and Hospitality & Leisure Management.
Michele Bugliesi, Rector of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice comments: “Ca’ Foscari keeps growing on an international level according to the QS World University Rankings by subject, reaching prestigious positions and widening its presence in new areas and disciplines.
