On Thursday October 19th from 2pm to 9pm, the University Sports Centre of Venice (CUS) will present its activities and sports facilities.
During the Open Sport Day you will be invited to take part in the activities. Wearing workout clothes is thus recommended.
At 5.30pm the following will be presented in detail: departmental games, soccer tournament (teams of 5), the CUSnow Day, the National University Championships, training courses and running group training sessions.
At 6.30pm the initiative “Run 4 the University” (“Corri X le Università”), a group running session around Venice. Two alternative paths will be suggested, of 7.5km and 5km.

The CUS offers many sports activities, from individual sports (such as judo, ju jitsu, self defense, rock climbing, athletics, fencing) to team sports (volleyball), cardio gym activities (pilates, zumba, M.E.T., cardio-fitness, weight lifting, postural activities…) or open air activities (tennis, skiing, cross-country skiing, horseback riding) and water sports (swimming, aquagym, snorkeling, rowing, oar, canoeing).
The CUS organizes the Venetian university games for students (volleyball, basketball, soccer in teams of five) and collects participation for the National university championships.
The CUS also collaborates with IUAV and the University Ca’ Foscari of Venice to give scholarships to students who are not residing in the city of Venice and commit to compete as athletes with the men’s or women’s volleyball CUS teams.
