Double Degree with UCL for the Bachelor’s programme in Humanities

Students enrolling in the Bachelor’s programme in Humanities at Ca’ Foscari in the a.y. 2018/19 will have the unique opportunity to enjoy an international experience. Ca’ Foscari University of Venice has signed an agreement with the prestigious UCL, University College London, with a four years joint Bachelor’s degree providing a BA in Italian studies at UCL and a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities (“Laurea in Lettere”) at Ca’ Foscari. The double title delivered by the two universities will ensure high standard education in humanities.

The Bachelor’s programme is organized by the Department of Humanities at Ca’ Foscari and the Faculty of Arts & Humanities at UCL.

Once enrolled at UCL by February 2018, the students will spend their two first years in Venice at Ca’ Foscari and the two following years in London at UCL.

UCL is among the Top ten institutions listed by the QS World University Rankings and has trained 29 Nobel prize winners. The same academic ranking has listed Ca’ Foscari within the first 200 universities in the world for History, Economics / Econometrics and Modern Languages, while the Department of Humanities is the seventh in Italy for Bachelor’s programmes in History and overall Ca’ Foscari reaches the ninth place in Italy. Ca’ Foscari has been pursuing internationalization in the past years and ranks first in Italy with 34 Marie Curie Individual Fellowships and 4 ERC research projects.

Training a new generation of specialists in humanities is a unique opportunity to associate the great asset of skills delivered by the two institutions for research and the labor market, both characterized by a process of internationalization.

The ten selected students from around the world must be fluent in Italian and English and have outstanding academic records.
