Double Degree with Univerza v Novi Gorici

The Double Degree is a two years programme. It has an extent of 120 credits and includes the students' exchange.

The main objective of the Double Degree is to integrate the different competences and specificities of the courses of Environment (Univerza v Novi Gorici- Slovenia) and Sustainable Chemistry and Technology (Ca’ Foscari University of Venice).

The Double Degree implies that Ca’ Foscari students must follow courses at Ca' Foscari University and at Nova Gorica University.
Selected students which have met the credit requirements and have spent the required periods abroad will be granted a double title:

  • Master's Degree in Sustainable Chemistry and Technology - curriculum Environment, Sustainable Chemistry and Technologies - Ca' Foscari University of Venice;
  • Okolje 2. stopnja, Master's study programme Environment (second level), Univerza v Novi Gorici.

Admission requirements and Call for Application

At Ca’ Foscari University of Venice the programme is reserved to students who want to enrol in the Master's degree in Sustainable Chemistry and Technology - curriculum Environment, Sustainable Chemisrty and Techonologies. 
Further requirements are specified in the Call for Applications.

The Call for Applications is published annually, in May/June. In order to apply candidates must follow the procedure respecting the procedures and deadlines detailed in the Call for Applications.

Enrolment in the Master's Degree in Sustainable Chemistry and Technology

Once selected, students must enrol in the Master's Degree in Sustainable Chemistry and Technology - curriculum Environment, Sustainable Chemistry and Technologies.

Filling Out Your Plan of Study

Once you are enrolled you must contact the Programme Coordinator, Prof. Ligia Maria Moretto, in order to fill out your plan of study.


Studying abroad and returning to Italy

From a.y. 2017/2018, the programme entails that the first year is abroad, at Nova Gorica University (Slovenia).

Before Leaving

Before leaving to go abroad, you must:

  • plan in advance the programme of educational activities you wish to attend at the host university (Learning Agreement) with prof. Ligia Maria Moretto;
  • present the duly filled in and signed Learning Agreement to the Ca' Foscari International Office.

Arrival at the Host University

Upon arrival at the host University you need to visit the International Relations office at the host University in order to present the following documents, and have them signed:

  • Learning Agreement;
  • Changes to the Learning Agreement form, should you need to modify your plan of study (all changes must be approved by the Programme Coordinator from both Universities, preferably before courses start);
  • Confirmation of Stay Abroad form (only the first part outlining your arrival at the host University to be filled out during this phase).

All documents must then be sent by email or fax to the Ca' Foscari International Relations Office ( jointdegree@unive.it; fax: +39 041 2347576).  Students must keep the original documents.

Before Returning to Italy

Before returning to Italy you must complete the second part of the Confirmation of the stay abroad form (outlining your departure from the host University), and have it signed by the host University.

Return to Italy

Upon your return to Italy you must present original copies of the following documents to the Ca' Foscari International Relations Office:

  • Learning Agreement, and if necessary, the Changes to the Learning Agreement form, signed where required;
  • The Confirmation of the Stay Abroad form, outlining your period of study abroad;
  • Transcript of Records (the certificate which reports all the exams taken at the host University, issued by the host University);
  • Original copies of Boarding cards and expenses receipts (travel, accomodation).

Graduation Application

To apply for graduation students must follow the standard graduation procedure for all students of Ca' Foscari.
