From the Ca’ Foscari Theatre to the Ca’ Foscari Short Film Festival, the first European film festival run entirely by enrolled students, from Incroci di Civiltà, the International literature festival which attracts some of the greatest names in contemporary writing from around the world, to the Ca’ Foscari Art Night and a host of exhibitions all around the city, Ca’ Foscari plays a central role in the cultural life of the city.
Each year between March and April the International Literature Festival Incroci di Civiltà, created and organized by Ca’ Foscari, takes place. The initiative brings successful writers from around the world to Venice to share their vision with passionate readers.

Ca’ Foscari’s theatrical season presents its wide offer at Ca’ Foscari Theatre between October and April, bringing current issues and debates on stage.
Musicafoscari/San Servolo Jazz Fest is a free of charge event organized by Ca' Foscari in collaboration with local institutions to implement research on and diffusion of music, in the presence of musicians and international researchers on jazz and improvisation. A particular feature is the participation of student bands who are invited to bring their own original material. The Festival provides the audience with new musical events in non-traditional locations.

In March Ca’ Foscari Auditorium Santa Margherita hosts the Ca’ Foscari Short Film Festival, an international festival entirely organized by the university. Each year the most promising students from film schools around the world participate and present their work to an exceptional jury made up of important personalities in the field of films.
Each year on a Saturday of June, art sets the night free in Venice with the Art Night: an event organized by the university in collaboration with the City of Venice that is part of the official European Art Night’s calendar.
Ca’ Foscari and the whole city come alive with free evening openings of museums, foundations, galleries, libraries, institutions, theatres and cultural associations. Hundreds of institutions are involved and as hundreds of appointments are organized all over town.
Throughout the academic year Ca’ Foscari hosts lectures with writers, journalists, artists who guide the audience through their novels, investigations, drawings, poetries at Ca’ Foscari Zattere.
Ca’ Foscari hosts and organizes throughout the year many art exhibitions in synergy with the research themes of the university. The exhibitions take place in the prestigious historical seat of the university and in the renewed spaces of Ca’ Foscari Zattere.
Ca' Foscari Zattere - Cultural flow zone is a cultural centre, an open, comfortable, multifunctional space, dedicated to encounter and exchange between students. Here they may find services and training courses, after-school activities that are complementary to what they study, projects that are conceived and realized by students and more that 370 places available spaces for relaxing, reading, studying and consulting books.
