Philip Sands in conversation with Fabrizio Marrella and Sara De Vido

British artist and author, Edmund de Waal will be the first contemporary artist to create a major exhibition of new work for the Ghetto in Venice which will be unveiled as part of a two-part project, psalm, during the preview week of the Venice Biennale, open from 8 May 2019.

A special series of events has been curated together with the Center for the Humanities and Social Change at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. Centred on themes of translation, exile, migration and diaspora, the programme aims to bring the experiences of contemporary writers in exile into focus and to celebrate works in translation. Symposiums, readings, performances and more are being held in several venues throughout the biennale.
