Bio
Daniel Meier is researcher for the European Program « EUBORDERSCAPES » at CNRS in Grenoble. After a PhD in political sociology (Middle Eastern Studies) at the University of Geneva, he taught at the Arab Department of Faculty of Humanities and at the Graduate Institute for International and Development Studies, in Geneva. Several times post-doctoral grant-holder, he was visiting Scholar at St Joseph University in Beirut and Senior Associate Fellow at the Middle East Centre, St Antony’s College in Oxford. Based on several years of fieldwork, his work focus on Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, Identity, Politics and Borders in the Middle East. He published extensively in French and English on Palestinian refugee issues in the Middle East and Lebanese politics.
