What is Missing in the Language and Tools We Use to Study and Describe Planetary Health?
With Uri Hershberg and Roberta Raffaetà

Uri Hershberg (University of Haifa, visiting scholar at ECLT) and Roberta Raffaetà (Deputy Director of NICHE and P.I. of the ERC Project HealthXCross, GA n. 949742) will be involved in a dialogue which will be open to the public. Please find attached a list reading materials, and a few preparatory questions. Scroll down for the Zoom link. We look forward to a lively and genuinely interdisciplinary debate.

Abstract:

In this dialogue, Uri Hershberg, a system biologist and expert in immunology and complex systems) and Roberta Raffaetà, a biosocial anthropologist with expertise in science and technology, will discuss how in their distinctive disciplinary fields they are rethinking health as a multiscale, multidimensional and interactive phenomenon. Offering methodological and epistemological variations on a same basic question - What is missing in the language and tools we use to study and describe planetary health? The talk will also be an opportunity to reflect on transdisciplinary overlaps and possible collaborations on the topics of planetary health.
