The aim of this course is to provide students with the necessary knowledge for a good understanding, translation to Italian and critical analysis of written and oral texts on such topics as international politics and economic relations between countries.
Prerequisite for this course is the passing of Russian Language 3 exam of the First-cycle degree.
Lexical and syntactic analysis and translation to Italian of various kind of Russian texts on international politics and on social and economic issues.

written and oral
The written exam consists of a translation of a Russian text (on specific topics) from Russian to Italian (2 hours, with bilingual dictionary).
During the oral exam, students are asked to read, translate and analyse a text from the 100 pages, which they need to study by themselves. These 100 pages will be indicated at the beginning of the course.
Lessons, activities in small groups.
The attendance of seminars with the Russian lectors (CEL) is recommended.
Here is the seminars’ timetable for the course “Russian language – Language and translation 1” (second semester): Monday from 8:45 to 10:15 and Wednesday from 10:30 to 12:00 in Ca’ Dolfin 2 (Dr. Ermakova); Thursday from 10:30 to 12:00 in Rio Novo 5 (Dr. Khejfits).
