The course aims to provide students with the basic tools for the study of Art History in Early Modern Age (15th-18th Century).

The course will focus on some of the main topics in Art History between fifteenth and eighteenth Century. All these topics will be analyzed taking into account coeval written documents and art literature.
1) The knowledge of a manual of Art History, usually the ones adopted in a secondary level italian school (licei), since the very beginning of fifteenth to the very end of eighteenth Century (for example: N. Frapiccini – N. Giustozzi, Le Storie dell’Arte, Milano, Hoepli, 2012, vol. 2, moduli 3-8, vol. 3, modulo 1).
2) The I.S.A. materials (pdf of the lessons).
3) It is also required to study one of the following three parts:
