Health and illness, their practices and knowing as sociocultural processes; the study of body's representations, legitimation and knowledge applications. In this approach, subjectivity expressed through illness is joined with social, economical and political processes.
To know and to understand what is an anthropological approach to health and illness, and the role of political and economical factors in embodiment and expression of illness; to undestand what distinguishes an anthropological approach from other approaches in social sciences.
