The course focuses on labour law profiles of company management. It offers essential juridical competences for the correct and efficient administration of the human resources, in the context of enterprises of every dimension and sector of production. The skills acquired are also essential for the practice of professions, particularly to become accountants or labour consultants.
The students will acquire different skills: comprehension of the main juridical subjects involved in the management of the human resources, from the individual and collective point of view; problem solving on ordinary or extraordinary issues; autonomous assessment; use of the technical language to communicate in a clear way with specialized (or not) interlocutors and internal or external interlocutors; autonomous updating and deepening of main topics with regard to the specific context in which students will work.
Students are required to have basic notions of private and commercial law, as well as essential skills on management and work organization.
The evolution of labour law and its sources; The collective bargaining, the trade unions and the employees representation in the company; the work contracts: from self-employment to employment; the different types of employment relationships ("non-standard" jobs etc.); Equality and non-discrimination; The employment relationship: worker’s rights and duties, employer's powers and their limits; The suspension of employment relationship: the discipline of injuries, illness and leave; the transfer of the company, individual dismissals, management of corporate crises with collective redundancies, social security.

Learning will be verified by oral examination on principal matters and also on real case studies proposed to the students during the course.
The course will consist of lessons, practical exercises (also in teams) and meetings with experts or operators in the field.
