Marco PALMIERI

Marco Palmieri obtained his law degree at the University of Bologna in 2004, where he obtained a PhD in Company Law and Financial Markets  in 2011.

Author of two monographs and various publications that have appeared in Italian and foreign books and magazines on corporate, bankruptcy, banking and financial market law.

He was an adjunct professor at the School of Law of the University of Bologna, where he was co-teacher of the courses in commercial law (academic years 2007-2008 and 2008-2009) and financial markets law (academic years 2011-2012 and 2012 -2013), as well as at the Department of Economics and Business of the University of Parma, where he was adjunct professor of the Italian and European commercial and corporate law course (academic year 2016-2017).

From October 2013 to March 2015 he was a research fellow on the subject of "Financing of business networks" at the Department of Legal Sciences of the University of Bologna.

From October 2017 to November 2019 he was a fixed-term researcher at the Faculty of Law of the University of the Sacred Heart of Milan, where he was co-teacher of the bankruptcy law course (academic year 2018-2019) and of the law course of business crisis (academic year 2019-2020).

From November 2019 to November 2022 he was a tenure-tracked researcher at the Department of Economics of the Ca' Foscari University, where he held courses in commercial law I and II, Business Law and Competition Law, for the a.y. 2019-2020, 2020-2021 and 2021-2022.

Member of the Academic Board of the Business, Work and Institutions Doctoral School, Commercial Law Curriculum, of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan.

He was visiting researcher at Fordham Law School, New York, at the invitation of Prof. M. Gelter (August 2014) and at Yale Law School, New Haven, at the invitation of Prof. G. Calabresi (September 2018).

Co-director of "Banca Impresa Società". Referee for the journals "Giurisprudenza Commerciale" and "Trusts e attività fiduciarie". Member of the editorial board of the journals "Giurisprudenza Arbitrale" and "Responsabilità d'impresa e antiriciclaggio".

Speaker at various national and international conferences and lecturer at masters and forensic specialization schools.

From 2009 until 2017 he practiced full-time as a attorney with his own office in Bologna, gaining experience in the judicial, arbitration and extrajudicial fields in the fields of company law, corporate law, banking law, financial markets law and bankruptcy law .
