Elisa is assistant professor at the Department of Management of the Ca' Foscari University of Venice. Graduated in 2001 in Statistics and Economics at the University of Rome, in 2009 she got a PhD in Economics at the University of Cambridge. She has previously worked at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, the Joint Research Centre (European Commission), Brunel University London, and the Central Bank of Italy. Elisa has been co-investigating on the UK part of a major EU grant entitled "Biopool- Services associated to digitalise contents of tissues in Biobanks across Europe", and has been working on several large research grants, such as the EPSRC project entitled "SCRIBE: Semantic Credit Risk Assessment of Business Ecosystems". Her main research interests regard the estimation of large networks and the incorporation of interdependence in panel data regression models. Recent research projects are devoted to sentiment analysis and the use of alternative data sets for economic analysis.
