To be admitted to this Master's Degree Programme students must possess a proper individual educational background and the minimum curricular requirements. A certified knowledge of English at minimum level B2 is also required.

Admission with international qualification
Applicants with international qualification must have obtained a bachelor’s degree that is the result of at least 3 years of study. The preliminary evaluation of the qualification is mandatory. Procedures and deadlines are available on the dedicated online platform.
International qualification will be evaluated by the designated teaching committee after the pre-evaluation procedure carried out on the online platform.
The Master’s Degree programme aims to develop and refine all skills that can help to analyze the principal philosophical and epistemological issues inherited from the main argumentative tradition in an analytical way through discussion and debate: This allows students to systematically understand theoretical reasons and historical and social dimensions of the manifold ethical challenges, political, scientific, artistic, educational, formative of contemporaneity. Decisive: the study of forms and methods of communication (linguistics and non-linguistics), as well as the transmission of understanding and knowledge in their many manifestations. A critical recall to historic-philosophical thought of the Western world is strategic.
- Educational counselling and training.
The Master’s Degree graduates in Philosophy of Science qualify for a professional profile capable of interpreting the new challenges of the business market, integrating disciplinary prospects and different cultures. In particular, they will be able to carry out roles of high responsibility in the following fields: publishing houses; museum or library management; press centres and/or intermediary communication, public relation services, direction of staff in the administrative sector of public firms or private companies; organization and management of training courses, also professional, collaboration with formative and social services, and offices in charge of the promotion of cultural activity in public administration, marketing and creative publicity, intermediary political-cultural jobs, philosophical consultation. The students will be able to access the programmes in order to teach in public schools of first and secondary school, will also be able to access the second level Master's philosophical area of science education.
Furthermore, they will be able to apply for scholarships of the "international PhD" (PHD) established at Ca ' Foscari in collaboration with Université di Paris I (Sorbonne).
Examination assessment and graduation
The educational activities include classroom teaching, workshops and research activities, in order to acquire wide-ranging skills that can be readily transferable into the world of work.
During the whole university career, the various skills and knowledge acquired by students will be assessed through written and oral examinations.
The degree exam consists in writing a thesis, which must possess the characters of originality, exhaustive documentation and scientific investigation and which will be discussed with a committee of university professors and experts.
