Erasmus Mundus is a European mobility and international cooperation project in the higher education sector.

In particular Action 2 -  Partnerships supports the establishment of cooperation parterships between European higher education institutions and higher education institutions from targeted third countries through scholarships for scholars and researchers.

EMBER - Erasmus Mundus Broadening Educational Opportunities

Ca' Foscari University of Venice is partner in the EMBER - Erasmus Mundus Broadening Educational Opportunities project, financed by the European Commission - EACEA in 2013 in the framework of the Erasmus Mundus - Action 2 - Partnerships programme. The project is coordinated by the University of Sevilla and, for Ca' Foscari, by the International Office.

The project promotes cooperation in higher education between Europe (Spain, Estonia, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden) and third countries from the geographic area that comprises Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine.

As well as awarding grants to students enrolled in bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programmes, the EMBER project also offers research, teaching and training grants to teaching staff.

Mobility applications will also be accepted from teaching staff and postdoctoral researchers at universities that are not project partners but are situated within the pertinent geographical area

Mobility grants for research, teaching and training intended for teaching staff are available for periods of 10 months (post-doc), 3 months (Staff).

HERMES - Humanities Education Revitalized via Mundus ExperienceS

Ca' Foscari University of Venice is a partner in the HERMES - Humanities Education Revitalized via Mundus ExperienceS project, which was financed by the European Commission (EACEA) in 2013 within the Erasmus Mundus - Action 2 – Partnerships programme. Our partnerships are coordinated by the University of Athens and, for Ca' Foscari University, by the International Office.

The project promotes cooperation in Higher Education between Europe (Greece, Bulgaria, Estonia, Germany, Italy, and Sweden) and third countries in the geographic area including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Belarus, Moldova, and Ukraine.

As well as grants for PhD students, the HERMES project also offers grants for post-doctoral research.

Incoming mobility applications will also be accepted from post-doctoral researchers at universities that are not project partners but are situated within the pertinent geographical area.

SUNBEAM - Structured University mobility for the Adriatic-ionian Macro-region

Ca' Foscari University of Venice is a partner in the SUNBEAM  – Structured UNiversity mobility between the Balkans and Europe for the Adriatic-ionian Macro-region project, which was financed by the European Commission (EACEA) in 2013 within the Erasmus Mundus - Action 2 – Partnerships programme. The project is coordinated by the Università Politecnica delle Marche and, for Ca' Foscari, by the International Office.

The project promotes cooperation in Higher Education between 9 countries in the Adriatic-Ionian area: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia.

As well as awarding grants to students enrolled in bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programmes, the SUNBEAM project also offers research, teaching and training grants to teaching staff from one of the third country project partners for mobility periods at Ca’ Foscari University Venice. Mobility grants are available for periods of 6-10 months (Post Doc) and 1-3 months (staff)

Mobility applications will also be accepted from post-doctoral researchers and teaching staff at universities that are not project partners but are situated within the pertinent geographical area
