Erasmus Mundus is a European programme for international mobility and cooperation in Higher Education. 
Action 2 – Partnerships promotes support projects for individual mobility to and from third countries by means of study, research and teaching grants.
Every year, various EM2 projects are activated at Ca’ Foscari.

Projects

EMBER - Erasmus Mundus Broadening Educational Opportunities

Ca’ Foscari University is a partner in the EMBER – Erasmus Mundus Broadening Educational Opportunities project, funded by the European Commission - EACEA in 2013 in the framework of the Erasmus Mundus - Action 2 – Partnerships. The partnership is coordinated by the University of Seville and by the International Relations Office on behalf of Ca’ Foscari.

As well as awarding research, teaching and training grants to teaching staff and technical and administrative staff, the EMBER project awards grants to students enrolled in bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral and post-doctoral degree programmes for mobility periods in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine.

Outbound mobility applications will also be accepted from students at European universities that are not project partners

Mobility grants for studying abroad are available for periods of 6 months (undergraduate), 9 months (post-doctoral) and 10 months (Doctorate).

HERMES - Humanities Education Revitalized via Mundus ExperienceS

Ca’ Foscari University is a partner in the HERMES - Humanities Education Revitalized via Mundus ExperienceS project, funded by the European Commission - EACEA in 2013 in the framework of the Erasmus Mundus - Action 2 – Partnerships programme. The partnership is coordinated by the University of Athens, and by the International Relations Office on behalf of Ca’ Foscari.

As well as awarding grants to students enrolled in first-, second- and third-level degree programmes and post-doctoral studies and training grants for technical and administrative staff, the HERMES project offers teaching and research grants to teaching staff (tenured, short-term, etc.) and researchers in European partner universities for mobility periods in Georgia, Moldova, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Belarus.
Outbound mobility applications will also be accepted from teaching staff and researchers at European universities that are not project partners.

SUNBEAM - Structured University mobility for the Adriatic-ionian Macro-region

Ca’ Foscari University is a partner in the SUNBEAM - Structured UNiversity mobility between the Balkans and Europe for the Adriatic-Ionian Macro-region project, funded by the European Commission - EACEA in 2013 in the framework of the Erasmus Mundus programme - Action 2 – Partnerships. The partnership is coordinated by the Marche Polytechnic University, and by the International Relations Office on behalf of Ca’ Foscari.

The project promotes cooperation in Higher Education between 9 countries in the Adriatic-Ionian area (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia).

As well as awarding research, teaching and training grants to teaching staff and technical and administrative staff, the SUNBEAM project also offers grants to students enrolled in first-, second- and third-level degree programmes and post-doctoral studies in the European partner universities for mobility periods in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, and Serbia.
