Erasmus Mundus - action 2

Erasmus Mundus is a European mobility and international cooperation project in the higher education sector.

In particular Action 2 -  Partnerships supports the establishment of cooperation parterships between European higher education institutions and higher education institutions from targeted third countries through scholarships for students, scholars, researchers and professionals.

Projects

A variety of EMA2 projects are still underway at Ca’ Foscari and in other Italian universities. For a complete list of projects and countries involved see the Erasmus Mundus Programme website.

You can apply for more than one EMA2 project, some of which also involving other Italian universities.

EMBER - Erasmus Mundus Broadening Educational Opportunities

Ca' Foscari University of Venice is a partner in the EMBER - Erasmus Mundus Broadening Educational Opportunities project, which was financed by the European Commission (EACEA) in 2013 within the Erasmus Mundus - Action 2 – Partnerships programme. Our partnership is coordinated by the University of Seville and, for Ca' Foscari University, by the International Office.

Besides grants for research, teaching and training for university faculty and administrative staff, the EMBER project offers undergraduate, doctoral and post-doctoral scholarships to take part in academic exchanges at the partner universities in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine.

Candidates enrolled in EU universities that are not currently partners of the project are also accepted and invited to participate.

Mobility grants for study have a duration of 6 months (Undergraduate), 9 months (Post-Doc), 10 months (Doctorate).

HERMES - Humanities Education Revitalized via Mundus ExperienceS

Ca' Foscari University of Venice is a partner in the HERMES - Humanities Education Revitalized via Mundus ExperienceS project, which was financed by the European Commission (EACEA) in 2013 within the Erasmus Mundus - Action 2 – Partnerships programme. Our partnership is coordinated by the University of Athens and, for Ca' Foscari University, by the International Office.

Besides grants for research, teaching and training for university faculty and administrative staff, the HERMES project offers doctoral and post-doctoral scholarships for candidates from EU partner universities to take part in academic exchanges at the partner universities in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine.

Students enrolled in EU universities that are not currently partners of the project are also accepted and invited to participate.

SUNBEAM - Structured University mobility for the Adriatic-ionian Macro-region

Ca' Foscari University of Venice is a partner in the SUNBEAM  – Structured UNiversity mobility between the Balkans and Europe for the Adriatic-ionian Macro-region project, which was financed by the European Commission (EACEA) in 2013 within the Erasmus Mundus - Action 2 – Partnerships programme. The project is coordinated by the Università Politecnica delle Marche and, for Ca' Foscari, by the International Office.

This project promotes international cooperation between higher education institutions mainly belonging to the Uniadrion network and located in the Adriatic-Ionian area. Besides grants for research, teaching and training for university faculty and administrative staff, the SUNBEAM project offers undergraduate, graduate, doctoral and post-doctoral scholarships for students from partner universities in Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro and Serbia to take part in academic exchanges at the partner universities in Europe (Croatia, Greece, Italy and Slovenia).

The project has a specific focus on the following fields of interests: protection, cataloguing and promotion of cultural heritage; environment and sustainable development; cultural tourism and development; communication, ports and economic relations.
