A new award for the activities of the Centre for Studies on Russian Arts (CSAR) of Ca’ Foscari. In the press conference held today at the TASS Agency in Moscow, the names of the editors who will support the Commissioner Semyon Mikhailovsky in the Russian Pavilion at the Biennale 2017 were disclosed. These will be two Italian scholars who are both Professors at Ca’ Foscari: Silvia Burini, director of CSAR, and Giuseppe Barbieri, coordinator of the PhD programme in History of Arts, which has already organized several important exhibitions at Ca' Foscari, in Venice, and in the Gallerie d'Italia of Palazzo Leoni Montanari in Vicenza. The latest was "Grisha Bruskin. The collection of an archaeologist”, which was held in 2015 as a Collateral Event of the Art Biennale.

Professor Burini is also the curator (together with Ada Masoero) of the next major exhibition of Vasilij Kandinskij at the MUdeC Milan (March 15th), in which Giuseppe Barbieri is responsible for the multimedia exhibition project.
