Inaugural statement by Antonio Marcomini, Deputy Vice-Rector of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice: “This is the 11th edition of Art Night and year after year our partnerships continue to grow. We hope that this event will be an opportunity to regain possession of art and culture and to use them against the calamities that hurt our planet: war, the pandemic, and climate change. Let us regard Venice as a capital city of art, let us be aware that we live in one of the world’s greatest capitals of culture. I wish you all a wonderful Art Night”
Inaugural statement by Silvia Burini, Scientific Director of Art Night Venezia: “Tonight, many events are taking place across the city, starting with Ca’ Foscari which organised a programme that involves highly-regarded guests and activities that also include the “blue breakfast” we’ll share tomorrow morning. I wish to thank the Municipality of Venice and Assessor Paola Mar for their continued support.”
