Ca’ Foscari will host the Mediterranean Universities General Assembly

Rectors, representatives of international organizations, and government officials will meet at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice on October 25th and 26th for the Mediterranean Universities Union (UNIMED) General Assembly. The Assembly will involve 91 partner universities and more than 120 rectors and representatives from 21 countries who will discuss the strategic role universities play in the Mediterranean area. Ca’ Foscari proves once again to be a forum for dialogue between cultures and civilizations.

The event will take place in the beautiful Aula Magna Silvio Trentin at Ca’ Dolfin where the participating institutions and organizations will have the opportunity to exchange and make a significant contribution to the policies and initiatives operating in the the Mediterranean area in a cooperative approach.

The two-days event will start with the welcome address of the Rector of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, Michele Bugliesi, that will be followed by the guests’ speeches.

Several workshops will be organized, focusing on the following topics: e-Learning and Open Education, Better Ways to Move, Better Places to Live: Sustainable Mobility in Mediterranean Coastal Areas to Work, Study and Visit, EU Programs for Euro-Mediterranean Cooperation, Mediterranean Water Cities and the Silk Road, The Role of Social Science and Humanities: Future Actions.
