Qs Ranking, Ca’ Foscari among the best universities for Modern Languages

Ca’ Foscari University of Venice is among the best universities in the world for the study of Modern Languages, as confirmed by the latest edition of the QS World University Rankings by subject, one of the most influential university rankings in the world and a favourite among students.

By analyzing the reputation in both the academic and business world, the English ranking has reconfirmed Ca’ Foscari’s great results, placing it among the top 90 universities in the whole world for the study of languages. The achievement bears testament to the quality of one of our University’s core areas of teaching, with courses covering 42 different languages and cultures.

Ca’ Foscari’s Rector Michele Bugliesi has stated “Ca’ Foscari has once again achieved great results in the QS Ranking by subject, which rates the performances of thousands of Universities all over the world, as well as the quality of their teaching and research. Our University has improved its score in 8 out of 9 subjects, an astounding result that rewards our efforts and investments in research and internationalization, as well as the excellent job of our faculty, something that is becoming increasingly recognized in the international academic world”

Moving up almost 30 places, Ca’ Foscari is now the 113th university in the world for the teaching and research on History. Our results in the Linguistics field kept us in the top 200, making Ca’ Foscari third in Italy. Combining these results, our University has placed 130th in the world and 3rd in Italy for the study of Humanities

Results in other areas have remained stable: top 200 for Geography and top 250 for Economics, Econometrics, Finance and Accounting.
Overall, Ca’ Foscari’s reputation has constantly improved year after year, both on a national and international level. 

The ranking was elaborated by QS Quacquarelli Symonds’ analysts, comparing 13.138 university programs by 1368 universities in 83 countries.
