The SINS (Social Impact through Network Science) workshop series aims to go a step beyond by asking how data analysis can be used for the larger benefit of society, including policy and humanitarian purposes. Key scientific issues of data mining in the various areas influenced by it are also discussed. This year's workshop will take place in the magnificent setting of Palazzo Franchetti in Venice, June 8-10.
