Flavio Rizzolio is Assistent Professor in the Department of Molecular Sciences and Nanosystems at Ca' Foscari University of Venice. He obtained the specialization in Applied Genetics in 2004 at University of Pavia. During the period 2007- 2011, he worked at the Department of Biology of Temple University (Philadelphia, USA) as a Visiting Research Scholar. During this time, he completed the PhD program in oncology and genetics. On 1 February 2011, he received the title of Assistant Professor at Temple University.
His scientific career began in 2000 with the thesis focused on the molecular and genetic of Premature Ovarian Failure. During the PhD program, he studied the role of many proteins involved in cell cycle control of cancer cells. Currently he is devoloping new nanodrugs for the therapy of colorectal and ovarian cancers.
