Archaeologists from Space in Villorba

Training for future Space Archaeologists in progress today

Today the Archaeologists from Space initiative is in progress in Villorba (Treviso) at the Marco Polo Primary School of Villorba (Treviso).

VEiL PI Dr Arianna Traviglia introduced the young archaeologists (two classes of the 4th degree) to the principles of archaeological Remote Sensing, detailing the phenomena that enable the visibility of traces related to archaeological buried structures in aerial and satellite imagery. Enthusiastic students have therefore identified potential underground  archaeological sites in Altino, Aquileia and in proximity of the Roman Postumia road, running in the vicinities of the school.
