The course offers a basic training in a historic-methodological style (particularly linguistic-philological, literary and historic) concentrating on the linguistic history and the figurative/literary culture of the ancient Mediterranean and Europe from Medieval times to the present day.
You can choose between two curricula: Antiquity and Science of the Literary Text and Communication. You can also apply for a unique opportunity in Italy: the double degree in Italian Studies – Italian Studies and History of Art with the University College in London, attending classes in Venice and London.
The programme focuses on direct knowledge of texts and original documents and on a critical approach to how knowledge, ideas and information are passed on throughout the ages since Antiquity.
Thanks to the skills you will have gained you will be able to specialize in many professional fields: from the dissemination of information to cultural heritage conservation and management, from archives cataloguing to a critical analysis of information.
