Degree programme regulations
The final exam consists in the writing of an essay, under the supervision of a mentor, on a subject with a content consistent with those provided during the course of the studies. The test will be written in Italian, except in special cases agreed upon by the candidate with the supervisor and communicated to the Teaching Committee.
The final paper can be presented by the candidate in an interview in the presence of the mentor and a possible co-mentor. The choice of the mentor is free on the part of the student as long as it is consistent with the contents of his/her study plan; it is the prerogative of the College to indicate a mentor in exceptional cases.
The evaluation of the test is defined according to the criteria established by the University bodies.
Guide to the Bachelor’s Thesis in history
The Guide to the Bachelor’s Thesis in history collects suggestions and indications for the elaboration of a thesis, from research and drafting to writing.
The idea originated in meetings held during the academic years 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 addressing all students enroled in the History track and focusing on drafting and writing the Bachelor’s Thesis in fields of history. The final result sprung from a collaboration between teachers, staff of the Humanities Library and students to provide future students about to graduate with a working instrument.
