Maurizio Massaro

Prof. Finotto was a visiting PhD student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and, since 2012, has been a member of the faculty of the PhD program in Management.

He is currently conducting various research studies on entrepreneurship among young people, as well as authoring numerous publications in magazines and journals.

Anna Comacchio

President of the BA program in Digital Management.
Professor of Management and Organization of the Department of Management, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.


She is the current Department of Management Director at Ca' Foscari University. Since 2013 she is the director of the PhD program in Management, she is the vice-president of the European Doctoral programs Association in Management & Business Administration. Her research focuses on digital transformation and organization design, organization and management for innovation, cognitive mechanism for innovation and entrepreneurship . She is author of international books and articles.

Stefano Campostrini

Professor of Social Statistics, former Dean of the Graduate School at the University of Ca’ Foscari of Venice.


In 2015, he has received the honorary title of Adjunct Professor by the University of Adelaide, School of Medicine.
His main research interests are in the application of Statistics as a support to decision making processes, particularly concerning health and social policies and intervention especially research concerning evaluation, needs analysis, information systems, and quality of life. He has collaborated with several international institutions and research centers. Nationally, he has been the principal investigator of dozens of research projects. He has published over 130 scientific works.

Agostino Cortesi

Professor of Software Engineering, vice-head of the Department of Environmental Sciences, Statistics and Informatics.


Since 2016, has collaborated with the Istituto Superiore di Sanità as member of the national technical commission for the development of an Italian surveillance system on behavioral health risk factors. In this specific field, he is interested in the impact of social differentiation and inequality on health. He is a consultant for the World Health Organization and has collaborated with Health ministers and related agencies in different countries. He has published over 140 scientific reports. He is on the editorial board of several scientific journals, as well as the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Global Public Health.

Giancarlo Corò

Professor of Development Economics, International Economics and Industrial Cluster Economics at the Department of Economics, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice


He is the director of the School of Economics and Languages for International Trade that Ca' Foscari University holds at Treviso Campus. His research fields are on the impact of Global Value Chains in local development, the upgrading processes in Cluster of SMEs, and policies to enhance Innovation Ecosystems.

Salvatore Orlando

Professor of Computer Science, Dept. of Env. Science, Informatics, and Statistics, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. Since 2010 he has been the coordinator of the BSc and MSc Programs in Computer Science of Ca’ Foscari University.


His research focuses on the design of scalable algorithms for data/web mining problems, and efficient and effective solutions for information retrieval problems. Salvatore Orlando published over 130 papers in international journals, book chapters, and conference/workshop

Giovanni Vaia

Professor of Business Administration and Global Sourcing at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.


Giovanni Vaia’s interests include organization design and general management with a specific focus on digital transformation, information systems, network governance and outsourcing, performance management. He is the founder and the Scientific Director of the Digital Enterprise Lab (DEL) at Ca’ Foscari Venice. He is responsible of the digital transformation and organization optimization in many public organizations and private multinational companies.
