Founded on August 6, 1868 as the “Scuola Superiore di Commercio” (Advanced School for Commerce), Ca' Foscari was the first Italian institution, and one of the first in Europe, to deal with advanced education in Business and Economics. The original main office is still found in the grand gothic palace “Volta de canal” (on the bend of the Grand Canal), in the heart of Venice.
The Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Management is a program of Ca’ Foscari University’s Department of Management. Innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity, all within an international context, are applied to all aspects of the academic activities.
From 2006, the Department of Management has invested in internationalization by conducting its courses in English (Doctorate, Bachelor’s and Master’s courses), organizing frequent seminars focused on digital skills, and has over time consolidated and increased international partnerships and agreements to issue double-degrees.
The Department promotes innovative teaching activities, as well as regional, national and international research projects that foster a dialogue with public organisations, the business world, and representatives of various institutions and associations.
H-FARM is an innovative business platform that supports the creation of new digital firms, the digital transformation of existing ones and an education program focused on new tools and methods to prepare student for the jobs of the future.
Originally founded in 2005 as a startup incubator, H-FARM has increasingly expanded and it now comprises three business divisions: the Investments division, the Consultancy and Accelerator Program and the Education division, all united in a single ecosystem of firms and startuppers. H-FARM Education, offers courses at its H-International School and at H-FARM College, which offers university-level educational programmes that allow students to deepen their knowledge of the digital economy.
This creates a unique environment in which students, startups, and companies co-exist and co-create innovative ideas, design digital projects and guides the innovation of large companies.
