International counseling

The COUNSELin(G)ternational service provides to international students enrolled in Degree programmes a counseling service where they can share their opinions, their university experiences and ask their questions.

The Counselors support international students with informative and academic orientation, facilitate the cooperation between professors and university offices, and aim to create an international multicultural community.

Service addressees

The service addresses the following international students enrolled at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice:

  • degree seekers;
  • enrolled in a Double/Joint Degree.

What it provides

The Counselor will help you in Italian and English with: 

  • information and advice to newly-enrolled international students;
  • tutoring and guidance related to administrative and academic procedures - see Tutoring Resources;
  • support in the relationships with the university and the teaching staff: support with bureaucratic and administrative procedures, acting as an interface with the university administration, the secretariats and the teaching staff;
  • counselors' desk: a place where you can talk about your academic- or administrative- related difficulties and report any critical situations;
  • focus groups and events: regular meetings with international students. 

Multimedia tools

The Tutoring Unit has created a series of virtual tools to support you in your academic career.
These tools include two didactic modules, devoted to improving your study method and soft skills, and developed as a series of 3D videos, featuring avatars and set in Venetian locations. It is also possible to download and print out some additional research material.
Access to these contents is free. In order to watch the videos, you must log in by entering your matriculation number and university password.

Before arrival at Ca’ Foscari, contact the Welcome Unit at the International Relations Office to get information on enrolment procedures, assessment of foreign academic qualifications, residence permit, tax code, healthcare, hospitality and integration of the University.
