Research topics

The research of this group is aimed at the synthesis of transition metal complexes with novel properties. Particular attention is paid to the study of the chemical reactivity of the new complexes and their spectroscopic and structural properties in solution.

Among the research lines, the most important ones concern:

  • "diazo" and "triad" complexes as models for the nitrogen fixation process (N2)
  • triidrurostannil and organostannil derivatives of transition metals
  • half- sandwich complexes of ruthenium and osmium
  • classical and non-classical transition metal hydrides with d6 configuration
