Guadalupe Nettel, born in Mexico City in 1973, grew up between Mexico and France. She is the author of the international award-winning novels El huésped (2006), The Body Where I was Born (2015) and After the Winter (2018), recipient of the Herralde Novel Prize. She has also published three collections of short stories: Les jours fossils (2002), Pétalos y otras historias incómodas (2008), Natural Histories: Stories (2014), which won the Ribera del Duero Prize. In 2008 she was named by the Hay Festival as one of the most promising Latin American authors. Her work has been translated into fifteen languages and has appeared in publications such as GrantaThe White ReviewThe New York Times and L’Atelier du Roman.

Guadalupe Nettel is a writer in residence thanks to Waterlines - Residenze letterarie e artistiche a Venezia

She will meet the audience of Waterlines on Monday 8 April at 3.30 pm and on Thursday 11 April at 4.00 pm at Fondazione di Venezia.

The event is fully booked. If you come to the venue 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the event, it is likely that there will be some seats available.
