Fiona McFarlane AUSTRALIA

Fiona McFarlane was born in Sydney in 1978 and is the author of the novel The Night Guest, which was translated into 19 languages and shortlisted for the Guardian First Book Award, the LA Times Book Prize, and the Miles Franklin Literary Award. Her short story collection, The High Places, won the 2017 International Dylan Thomas Prize, and her short fiction has been published in The New YorkerZoetrope: All-Story, and Best Australian Stories. Fiona is currently an Australia Council for the Arts writer-in-residence at the B.R. Whiting Studio in Rome.
